Five days until the Carnival of Creative Writing…
May 6, 2007 at 7:02 am | In Blogroll, poetry | 2 Commentsand Sylvia and I have only received THREE submissions. Either all y’all are writing about crocuses and feel silenced by our creative restrictions, or you’re too busy otherwise admiring the darling buds of May… or you’re planning on sending me all of your lovely work on Wednesday. Don’t do that! I got other deadlines this week, too!
We need creative thinking right now, as yet another person has said in the last few days… so fine. Write about the damn crocus if it’s what you need to do, just send me your essays, your short fiction, your poetry… hell, you can send me cartoons. The theme has been, is and will continue to be renewal, which you can interpret in the broadest sense. Email ppoussin AT gmail DOT com. Sylvia and I will consult and bring you the goods this Friday.
Here’s a little inspiration if you need some.

(Possibly silly) question: can I submit a brief excerpt from a longer work? Or do submissions need to be complete works? (This might become moot if I look it over and can’t find good spots to snip it out.)

GD, excerpts are totally cool by us, so get to snipping!
